Lucknow: Member of the State Women's Commission, Priyanka Maurya, received a prank call from unknown individuals who requested her personal details. Following this incident, she filed a formal complaint with the Krishnanagar police station. The complaint stated that the callers pretended to be the Personal Assistants (PAs) of the Chief Minister's Principal Secretary and the District Magistrate of Unnao, asking for her personal information. Priyanka believes that the opposition is attempting to damage her reputation through deceitful activities like spoofing. An official case has been initiated based on her complaint. Priyanka received the first call on September 9 at her residence in LDA Colony on Kanpur Road from an unknown number, where the caller claimed to be the PA of the Unnao DM and requested personal information. Another call was received on September 30, with the caller now posing as the PA of the Chief Minister's Principal Secretary and asking for personal details in relation to a significant responsibility. Recognizing the seriousness of the situation, Priyanka lodged a complaint at the Krishnanagar police station. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for the South Zone, Keshav Kumar, confirmed the registration of an FIR and stated that an investigation is underway.
